Drexel is continuing to monitor the situation and will share updates as they become available for calendar year 2026.</p> <p>Center for Autism and Neurodiversity Employment Advisor</p> <p>Apply now Job no: 504870</p> <p>Work type: Full-Time</p> <p>Location: University City - Philadelphia, PA</p> <p>Categories: Drexel University, Enrollment Management and Student Success</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Center for Autism and Neurodiversity (CAN) Employment Advisor's primary responsibility will be to directly mentor CAN participants on employment and life skills-related goals and foster relationships with employers seeking neurodivergent employees. This employee will: conduct individualized student meetings to assist CAN participants with determined goals related to employment; collaborate, and communicate with campus partners, specifically SCDC, around the student's progress in their coop; and assist the CAN team with the development and implementation of large-scale events to raise awareness and educate about neurodiversity.</p> <p>This is an hybrid in-person position working primarily in-person.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Meet individually with CAN students to monitor, engage, and counsel them while they are preparing for, and partaking in, co-op and employment after graduation. </li><li>Support both students and their employers for student success on Drexel co-ops and beyond. </li><li>Cultivate and steward working partnerships with employers. </li><li>Engage with employers on many levels on issues of neurodiversity, including working with outside partners to develop initiatives and collaborations. </li><li>Assist with planning and convening on and off-campus activities such as the Autism at Work: University Series events, Faculty and Staff Education Series events and working employee breakfasts with the Steinbright Career Development Center (SCDC). </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Minimum of Master's Degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Please review the Equivalency Chart for additional information.</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum of 1 year of experience advising, mentoring and/or coaching employment skills to a caseload of 25+ neurodivergent adults.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with student success strategies.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office suite with a focus on Excel, and related software, including database and presentation programs.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong interpersonal, organizational, technology, and communication skills</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse groups, including students and internal and external partners.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to be self-directed, creative, team player.</p> </li><li> <p>Commitment to the mission of Drexel University and CAN.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience working in an employment, non-profit or higher education setting. </li><li>Ability to work evenings and weekends to support department events. </li></ul> <p>Location</p> <ul> <li>University City - Philadelphia, PA </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>This position is classified as Exempt, grade J. Compensation for this grade ranges from $47,490 to $71,230 per year.
