Be the difference.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Provides leadership and supervision for Pharmacy services in a specified area of operations such as Central Pharmacy or designated Pharmacy satellites or service. Provides leadership and support to pharmacists, technicians and other supportive personnel. Participates in the hiring process, orientation and training of new personnel, scheduling, mentoring and providing personal and professional guidance. Participates in the education of pharmacy residents and students as well as technician students. This position is a working/staffing supervisory position. Time will be allocated for administrative duties.</p> <p>Accountabilities</p> <ul> <li>Supervises Pharmacy Operations in specific areas or services that may include portions of: </li></ul> <p>Central Pharmacy Operations; Admixture Services; OR Pharmacy; Children's Hospital Pharmacy; Decentralized Pharmacy Services and other pharmacy services as appropriate. 25%</p> <ul> <li>OPERATIONS: </li></ul> <ol> <li> <p>Develops operational benchmarks to trend operational efficiency. Optimizes automation to enhance efficiency and safety while reducing cost of operations.</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in TJC preparation and maintains constant readiness</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluates staffing requirements and optimizes the utilization of assets constantly enhancing staffing models.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with the development of operational and capital budgets.</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in the education of pharmacy residents and students as well as technician students.</p> </li><li> <p>Develops policies and standard operating procedures for areas of responsibility. 20%</p> </li></ol> <p>HUMAN RESOURCES:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Conducts initial orientation and ongoing education and competency validation for employees in each job at least annually.</p> </li><li> <p>Conducts and enhances a formal education and training program for all pharmacy staff members in the designates area of operations.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists in the development of the work schedule for employees in the area of operations</p> </li><li> <p>Monitors absenteeism , tardiness and overtime. Addresses these issues appropriately.</p> </li><li> <p>Conducts employee evaluations and finalizes this process one month prior to due date.20%</p> </li></ol> <ul> <li>Participates as a member of a multidisciplinary team focused on collaboration to provide optimum patient care. </li></ul> <p>This may include being a member or chairing multidisciplinary committees. 20%</p> <ul> <li>Staffs in their area of responsibility as needed to maintain pharmacy services. 10% </li><li>Determines pharmacy workload, conducts interviews and hires technical staff. 8% </li><li>Share responsibility for Kronos with department timekeeper. 2% </li></ul> <p>Supervisory/Management Responsibilities</p> <p>Job has direct and/or indirect supervision of employees that may include final budget authority, hire/termination/disciplinary authority, performance appraisal responsibility. Job will be considered a member of the management staff with direct reports.</p> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree- Pharmacy BS degree</p> <p>2 years- Pharmacist; Pharmacy management experience preferred</p> <p>Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses</p> <p>RPH - REG PHARMACIST</p> <p>In lieu of the Above Minimum Requirements</p> <p>Completion of a PharmD Residency program will be accepted in lieu of 2 years of Pharmacist experience.
