<p>Grade Levels: K-12</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide expert advice to schools on special education programming and best practices. </li><li>Assist in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities. </li><li>Offer guidance on compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to special education services. </li><li>Conduct training sessions and workshops for teachers and staff on special education topics, including IEP development, differentiation, behavioral strategies, and legal requirements. </li><li>Provide ongoing professional development to ensure the staff stays updated on current trends, research, and legal changes in the field of special education. </li><li>Build positive relationships with parents and caregivers, providing support and guidance as they navigate the special education process. </li><li>Collaborate with external agencies and service providers to ensure comprehensive support for students. </li><li>Ensure that the school district adheres to state and federal laws, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's or master's degree in special education, or a related field. </li><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience working in special education settings. </li><li>Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices. </li><li>Ability to assess student needs and develop effective strategies and accommodations. </li><li>Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with educators, administrators, parents, and external agencies. </li></ul>
