<p>The Surgery Center of Allentown, located in Allentown, PA., is a free standing ambulatory surgery center. At the Surgery Center off Allentown, we provide high quality outpatient surgical care to the people of the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas in a pleasant and convenient environment.</p> <p>We are currently searching for a full-time Biller to work Mondays - Fridays who can work cooperatively with staff and physicians and perform a variety of tasks.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Reviews and appeals denied and unpaid claims </li><li>Analyzes, enters, and manipulates collections database </li><li>Manages proper submission of all documents in a timely fashion </li><li>Submits claims to insurance companies for payment </li><li>Manages collections and unpaid accounts by establishing payment arrangements with patients, </li></ul> <p>monitoring payments, and following up with patients if or when there is a lapse in payment</p> <ul> <li>Works directly with the insurance company, the patient, and the healthcare provider, to get a </li></ul> <p>claim processed and ultimately paid</p> <ul> <li>Manages the relationship with collection agencies </li><li>Submits secondary billing in a timely manner with appropriate supporting documentation </li><li>Demonstrates courtesy and helpfulness toward patients and their families </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned </li><li>Attends in-services, seminars, and webinars for additional education and performance </li></ul> <p>improvement</p> <ul> <li>Payment posting </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>1 year of previous collections experience required </li><li>1 year of previous orthopedic experience preferred </li><li>Strong knowledge of ICD 10/CPT coding(certification preferred not required) </li><li>Maintains strictest confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations </li><li>Regular and predictable attendance </li></ul> <p>Apply Now!
