<p>Job Title: Lab Technician</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The Lab Technician will be responsible for testing used motor oil by performing Penskey-Martens Closed Cup Flash Point, BS&W by Centrifuge, and pH testing. The technician will also test PCBs using a Gas Chromatograph (GC) and must have experience with BS&W, Flash Point Test, and Total Halogens using a Dexsil Test Kit. The Lab Technician must follow lab safety procedures and perform routine testing on oil samples.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform Penskey-Martens Closed Cup Flash Point testing on used motor oil. </li><li>Conduct BS&W testing by Centrifuge. </li><li>Measure pH levels of oil samples. </li><li>Test PCBs using a Gas Chromatograph (GC). </li><li>Perform Total Halogens testing with a Dexsil Test Kit. </li><li>Follow and adhere to lab safety procedures at all times. </li><li>Conduct routine testing and analysis on oil samples. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Chemistry. </li><li>3+ years of lab testing experience, specifically with PCB testing using GC. </li><li>2+ years of experience in BS&W, Flash Point testing, and Total Halogens testing with a Dexsil Test Kit. </li><li>Proficiency in wet chemistry techniques and oil testing. </li><li>Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in a lab setting. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Open-minded and adaptable to new methods and procedures. </li><li>Takes initiative and is proactive in lab activities. </li><li>Comfortable with multi-tasking and managing multiple tests simultaneously. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The work environment is a small lab where safety goggles and gloves are required at all times. The Lab Technician will report to supervisors in the lab.
