<p>Job Summary: Provides necessary support to the production teams, assist machine operators with assigned tasks, maintain materials and supplies, track inventories, and package finished products.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Operates a forklift truck to safely deliver materials to and from the factory </li><li>Reads work orders and/or follow oral instructions to determine materials to be mixed for each run </li><li>Loads /unloads materials onto or from pallets, gaylords boxes, and shelves via forklift or by hand </li><li>Loads resins into blenders, grinders, dryers and hoppers by hand or vacuum system </li><li>Maintains and prepare packaging supplies </li><li>Packages all finished products ensuring correct packaging material, labels and details, per customer specification </li><li>Handles materials and inventory control using barcode scanner </li><li>Assists operators with stringing lines and taking rolls off machines </li><li>Assists operators with roll data entry, roll changing, changing trim, mounting unwound rolls, cutovers and cleaning the systems </li><li>Assists warehouse manager with monthly inventory </li><li>Maintains confidentiality of information such as formulas, supplier names, materials, process conditions and set-up information </li><li>Other relevant duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required Education & Skillsets:</p> <ul> <li>Read a ruler and understand measurements in fractions and decimals </li><li>Read, write and comprehend instructions and correspondence </li><li>Communicate effectively with workers and supervisor </li><li>Add, subtract, divide and multiply with the aid of a calculator </li><li>Perform calculations that include but are not limited to fractions and decimals </li><li>Use a computer for basic data entry of production and materials in database </li></ul> <p>Preferred Education and Skillsets:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) </li><li>Prior Warehouse or manufacturing experience </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job the employee must:</p> <ul> <li>Be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds </li><li>Be able to push or pull heavy objects up to 250 pounds </li><li>Be able to work 12 hours shifts </li><li>Perform repetitive tasks </li><li>Routinely stand, sit, hear, walk, and talk </li><li>Reach, climb, bend, kneel, crouch, twist and balance; sometimes in awkward or tight spaces </li><li>Have good close vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus </li><li>Meet Mativ certification requirements to operate Power Industrial Trucks </li></ul> <p>PPE Requirements:</p> <p>Employees are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment including;</p> <ul> <li>Safety shoes (steel toe or composite toe) </li><li>Safety Glasses </li><li>Bump Caps </li><li>Protective Gloves; when performing certain tasks </li><li>Hearing Protection; when required </li><li>Other personal protective equipment as required for certain tasks </li></ul> <p>Work Environment:</p> <p>Conditions are that of a manufacturing environment.</p> <ul> <li>Air Temperatures can range from cold to hot </li><li>Atmosphere may contain dust, fumes and odors </li><li>May include mechanical, electrical, chemical, explosive and radiation hazards </li></ul> <p>Rotating 12-hour shifts - Nights</p> <p>We are an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against applicants due to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.</p>
