<p>SUMMARY: The primary function of an employee is to provide the best service to internal clients, as promptly as accurately as possible. This employee will assist in selecting and purchasing products and materials by gathering and screening information about products, prices, and suppliers.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following duties ARE NOT intended to serve as a comprehensive list of all duties performed by all employees in this classification. Shown are duties intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities. Employees may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position-specific duties.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES:</p> <ul> <li>Receive material requests, clarify and confirm the necessary specifications and/or requirements and convert them to purchase orders, in a timely and efficient manner. </li><li>Obtain quotes for materials, analyze quotes and verify financial viability vs/ estimate commitments, converting to purchase orders. </li><li>Track open orders/back orders and communicate with our project managers and/or field staff to resolve potential scheduling issues. </li><li>Negotiates vendor terms, prices, and schedules delivery using knowledge of budget and schedule requirements. </li><li>Communicate with all vendors for product innovations, sharing and communication with internal teams, as appropriate. </li><li>Work in collaboration with warehouse staff and Prefab team on availability of inventory, replenishing stock levels, as needed. </li><li>In cooperation with the field and warehouse staff, process material returns to vendors for credit. </li><li>Communicate with vendors to obtain RMA's and ensure credit memos are accurate and received timely. </li><li>Research new materials and processes associated with electrical construction that can improve our day-to-day functions. </li><li>Analyze and research to define, resolve, and correct deficiencies and problems. </li><li>Use knowledge of machines and equipment to schedule items necessary to meet construction phases and deadlines. </li><li>Adheres to purchasing policies, processes and procedures. </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:</p> <ul> <li>Able to use multiple software programs (Microsoft Office, Vista, ProjectSight, Procore, etc) </li><li>Strong communication and conflict management skills </li><li>Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines </li><li>Work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Ability to work in a team environment </li><li>Skill in reading and evaluating electrical blueprints, panel layout sheets and other technical schematics. </li><li>Knowledge of electrical construction industry and materials, power distribution, lighting, controls, technology, fire alarm, security, and various other electrical components </li><li>Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with others. </li></ul>
