<p>Under the direction and supervision of practice providers or nursing staff, the Medical Assistant is responsible for clinical duties to prepare the patient for the encounter, assist the clinicians in the delivery of care, and maintains examination rooms, equipment, and supplies at an outpatient care site. Also responsible for some clerical and scheduling duties in conjunction with patient contact.</p> <p>Minimum Education</p> <ul> <li>High School graduate or equivalent. </li><li>Graduate of Medical Assistant program preferred. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Work Experience</p> <ul> <li>1-2 Years Medical Assistant experience, preferably in physician practice or outpatient clinic setting. </li><li>1 year of secretarial or administrative experience, including medical terminology. </li></ul> <p>Required Licenses/Certifications</p> <ul> <li>BLS Certification through American Heart Association. </li><li>Current nationally accredited Medical Assistant Certification/Registered,(preferred) or </li><li>Current Vermont State LNA License (preferred) </li></ul> <p>Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Ability to report patient care observations, deviations from patient's plan of care and other pertinent information under the direct supervision of a provider or licensed nursing staff. </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Demonstrate moderate knowledge of basic computer skills. </li><li>Demonstrate moderate knowledge of Medical Terminology. </li><li>Knowledge of infection control. </li><li>Venipuncture skills desirable. </li></ul> <p>Pay Range: $17.50 - $25.91</p> <p>#PM24</p>
