<p>Our Auburn Pump and Motor Repair Shop is looking for a skilled Machinist to join the team.</p> <p>Primary Functions</p> <p>At the direction of the Shop Management the Machinist is to perform typical duties of a traditional manual machinist working with horizontal lathes, vertical milling machine, general machine shop equipment: band saws, Bridgeport drill presses, grinders, as well as some welding.</p> <p>Machinist Essential Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Set up and operate conventional lathes, mills, balancing equipment, and commutator profiler. </li><li>Ability to machine housings, shafts, keyways, and sleeves. </li><li>Must be familiar with common industry tolerances and fits for motor repair. </li><li>Fabricate products to meet established quality standards and the requirements of our customers. </li><li>Establish and follow maintenance schedules for shop equipment. </li><li>Provide technical expertise as needed. </li><li>Maintain a neat and orderly work area at all times. </li><li>Organize and maintain personal and shop tools and equipment. </li><li>Willing and able to work OT as required. </li></ul> <p>Machinist Necessary Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>5 years mechanical assembly and disassembly experience preferred. </li><li>Ability to read mechanical prints and schematics. </li><li>Ability to work independently and in a team setting. </li><li>Basic knowledge regarding use of a PC. </li><li>Competent with the use of electrical test equipment, i.e. Multi meter, shop tools, hand tools, pneumatic tools, hoists, etc. </li><li>Mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of electrical theory required. </li><li>Valid and clean NYS driver's license to operate company vehicles as needed. </li></ul> <p>Machinist Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ability to stand for up to 8 Hours. </li><li>Ability to lift 50 pounds. </li><li>Ability to work on elevated platforms. </li><li>Ability to climb ladders. </li><li>This position may require standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching and/or reaching. </li><li>You may be exposed to dust, loud noises, and hot and cold conditions. </li><li>Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills may be required for hand tools, power tools, and other machinery. </li></ul> <p>Salary Range between $20 - $30/hour.</p> <p>Competitive Benefits Package</p> <ul> <li>Health insurance (medical, dental, vision) </li><li>PTO program and paid holidays </li><li>401K </li></ul> <p>Learn more about us here: https://www.powerflotechnologies.com/</p> <p>Follow us on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/power-flo-technologies</p> <p>About Us</p> <p>We are an equal opportunity employer.
