The McHenry County Auditor's Office has an opening for an Internal Audit Program Manager to join our team.</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY:</p> <p>Primarily responsible for completing audit engagement assignments with minimal supervision from the audit team management. The Audit Manager is expected to understand risk and risk management techniques, identify and analyze business processes, key risks and critical controls, and evaluate control design adequacy; perform or supervise control testing; and document work performed in conformance with internal audit policies and procedures.</p> <p>Work hours: 30 hours a week with flexibility to work more hours</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Audit Program and performing complex performance, compliance, forensic and internal control audits and investigations. </li><li>Conduct the Audit Department's Annual Risk Assessment and Audit Plan. </li><li>Assist in the Review and follow-up on findings. </li><li>Promotes Fraud Prevention and Awareness through development and implementation of a countywide anti-fraud program and initiatives. </li><li>Assistance with establishing best practices on audit methodology and filing naming and folder management procedures. </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:</p> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree Accounting Emphasis preferred </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>7 years' experience in financial and internal auditing </li></ul> <p>Licenses and Certifications:</p> <ul> <li>Certifications desired are: CPA, Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Fraud Examiner or other similar certifications. </li><li>Must have a valid Driver's License </li></ul> <p>BENEFITS:</p> <ul> <li>3 Medical plans, 2 dental plans, and 2 vision plans to choose from. </li><li>Pension: Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) </li><li>Nationwide Retirement Solutions (457 and Roth457) plans </li><li>Standard Life insurance policy with the option to buy up additional coverage for EE and dependents. </li><li>Tuition Reimbursement and Student Loan Repayment Programs </li><li>Paid vacation, sick, personal days and 13 paid holidays. </li></ul> <p>Must be able to successfully pass a background screening.</p> <p>McHenry County is an equal opportunity employer.
