<p>Medical Records Abstractor</p> <p>Medical Records Inpatient</p> <p>Full-Time Days 6a-8a start time</p> <p>Potential Oppportunity to work from home after 90 day on-site training</p> <p>Summary of Position:</p> <p>Analyzes chart documentation according to the Uniform Billing Specifications Manual to accurately enter billing required data elements into EPIC. Reviews chart documentation to collect and abstract a variety of ther data that is used for statistical reporting, both internal and external.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>High School Diploma or equivalent</p> <p>Two (2) years experience in a Health Information Management Department with Electronic Health Record Experience</p> <p>Computer experience required; specifically Microsoft Outlook and Excel</p> <p>Ability to pass a Medical Terminology Exam as administered by Human Resources</p> <p>Light typing of 30wpm; ability to pass a typing test admininstered by Human Resources</p> <p>Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient records</p> <p>Ability to work cooperatively with communicate verbally and in writing with other HIM Areas</p> <p>Ability to exhibit courteous behavior when working with internal and external customer and work as a team member</p> <p>Ability to discern numbers and names accurately</p> <p>Ability to monitor concentration and focus on task at hand</p> <p>Ability to multi-task, prioritize work and stay organized</p> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled</p> <p>$15.55/hr - $19.21/hr</p> <p>The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials.
