Schedules patient referral appointments, verifies hospitalization insurance coverage, and provides back-up support for reception check-in and telephone.</p> <p>High school graduate is the minimum education level accepted. Medical Assistant, Medical Office or Medical Billing, classes preferred</p> <p>At least two years of medical office experience required. Of which at least one year of experience in insurance verification, referrals and/or medical billing.</p> <p>Knowledge of medical terminology. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 codes. Ability to handle billing questions regarding copays, deductibles, and coordination of benefits and thorough understanding of insurance coverage with respect to third party contract agreements.</p> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled</p> <p>$19.04/hr - $22.85/hr</p> <p>The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
