<p>Department:</p> <p>Physical Plant</p> <p>Status:</p> <p>Full-Time</p> <p>Posted: 02/05/25</p> <p>Start Date:</p> <p>TBD</p> <p>APPLY NOW</p> <p>Custodial Worker Job Description</p> <p>Our goal is to maintain well-kept, safe, healthy, and clean buildings.</p> <ul> <li>Uses checklists to ensure standards of excellence in cleaning </li><li>Vacuums, sweeps, cleans carpets and floors </li><li>Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms, surfaces, and furniture </li><li>Cleans receptacles as necessary </li><li>Cleans windowsills and windows </li><li>Maintains janitor closets and equipment in a clean, organized, and safe manner </li><li>Utilizes designated personal protective equipment and supplies as required </li><li>Other routine maintenance and janitorial duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>General Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ability to follow oral and written instructions </li><li>Ability to prioritize multiple tasks </li><li>Ability to work effectively with a team </li><li>Ability to work independently as needed to support the group effort </li><li>Basic handling knowledge of chemical cleaning products </li><li>Must be able to walk and/or stand over 90% of the time </li><li>Must be able to lift 50 pounds </li><li>Must be able to use both hands, arms, and legs </li><li>Must be able to work flexible hours, before students/staff arrive for the day </li></ul> <p>Job Specifications</p> <p>Requirements: Qualified person will be experienced in performing building maintenance. Communication skills, interpersonal skills, professionalism, and appearance must be excellent.
