Engine plant resident engineers are responsible for working with the manufacturing teams to identify, contain and resolve ongoing quality issues. Residents are also responsible for engine component and system launches in the plant. Engine plant residents will work closely with the propulsion design teams, calibration, plant vehicle teams and core quality.</p> <p>This position is located on-site at Cleveland Engine Plant is responsible for 3.5L GTDI V6 and 2.3L I4 engines.</p> <p>ENGINE PLANT PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT RESIDENT ENGINEER - CLEVELAND ENGINE PLANT</p> <p>What you'll do...</p> <p>Quality:</p> <ul> <li>Co-Lead Variability Reduction Team with Manufacturing to address low time in service (LTIS) quality issues past product launch. </li><li>Prioritize ongoing and emerging issues using leading and lagging indicator data and analysis focusing on design and production related issues at the engine plant. </li><li>Define and investigate issues including developing trends based on vehicle line, time in service, operating conditions, locations and other critical factors. </li><li>Lead and/or support cross-functional teams through root cause, corrective action and prevent reoccurrence actions. </li><li>Conduct prevent reoccurrence action (PRA) read across to other engine plants through communication with the other residents.
