<p>JOB GOAL:</p> <p>To help students in the EXCEL Medical & Health Science course develop the professional and technical skills and knowledge required to forge forward in exploring careers in the medical career strand by connecting students to mentors, real client-based projects, and internships to enhance learning experiences.</p> <p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:</p> <p>Nine and one-half (9.50) month contract (195 days), plus benefit package. NOTE: Precise placement within the salary range will be determined based upon education and experience. FLSA: EXEMPT.</p> <p>Salary Range: $</p> <p>TEACHER SALARY SCHEDULE</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or satisfactory work experience in order to qualify for a teaching workforce permit issued by the Arkansas Department of Education. Master's degree in related field preferred. </li><li>Must meet requirements to be employed as an adjunct professor at UA Pulaski Technical College, which requires 18 graduate hours in the content area. </li><li>Relevant experience including with at least 5 years of acceptable experience with an industry recognized certification. Strong knowledge of medical and health practices and procedures, terminology and ethics. </li><li>Strong desire to expose students to career opportunities in the field. </li></ul> <p>Such alternatives and additions to the above qualifications may be deemed appropriate by the Superintendent. This position requires accurate perceiving of sound, near and far vision, depth perception, handling and working with educational materials and/or objects, and providing oral information. Must have the ability to work for the duration of the daily contracted time period, and to be physically present and at assigned work, with only infrequent unexcused absences, during the contract year.
