<p>Job Description: Quality Engineer</p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to monitor production assembly processes, improve efficiency, and ensure compliance with customer requirements and our Quality Management System. This role involves working closely with a range of personnel including Engineers, Manufacturing personnel, various management resources, and representatives from the U.S. Government. The ideal candidate will provide engineering assistance for lot acceptance test requirements, write and incorporate detailed work instructions, and plan and conduct quality audits with formal reporting.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Monitor production assembly processes to improve efficiency. </li><li>Participate in production team meetings to drive continuous improvement. </li><li>Establish and monitor inspection plans based on customer acceptance criteria. </li><li>Ensure compliance with customer requirements and Quality Management System. </li><li>Provide engineering assistance for lot acceptance test requirements. </li><li>Write and incorporate detailed work instructions. </li><li>Plan and conduct quality audits and convey findings through formal reporting. </li><li>Work with Engineers, Manufacturing personnel, management, and U.S. Government representatives. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience in quality engineering. </li><li>Experience with ISO 9001, corrective actions, and quality audits. </li><li>Strong communication and organizational skills. </li><li>Experience dealing with U.S. Government and DoD/Military entities. </li><li>Comfortable with inspections in a shop floor/assembly environment. </li><li>Ability to manage internal audits and support day-to-day operations with quality inspectors. </li><li>Proficiency in GD&T, control plans, and defense industry standards. </li><li>Ambitious, hands-on, and able to think quickly in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Experience with PPAP, corrective action plans, quality assurance, first article inspection, Minitab, and root cause analysis. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with munitions and firearms. </li><li>Understanding of military standards and specifications. </li><li>Four-year degree is not necessary; relevant experience is key. </li></ul> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $95000.00/yr.</p> <p>Company benefits will be shared upon initial conversation with Actalent and any related questions can be answered at this time.
