Then we would love to have you join us!</p> <p>The Role</p> <p>Genmab is seeking a highly skilled Associate Director to join our Research & Innovation Outsourcing Management (RIOM) team on a temporary basis to support business continuity during a team member's medical leave.</p> <p>This role is a great opportunity for an experienced professional in clinical and nonclinical lab and data services outsourcing, offering autonomy, collaboration, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on our R&D pipeline.</p> <p>The Associate Director will drive, collaborate, and advise on the end-to-end contracting & outsourcing process for lab and data services with external service providers (e.g., Contract Research Organizations (CROs), external lab service providers, etc) to support the R&D pipeline.</p> <p>In addition, this role will collaborate with the internal teams and our stakeholders to build outsourcing strategies and leading practices which improve values, minimize risk & cost, ensure quality, and create scalability in a dynamic and growing organization.</p> <p>The position will report to the Director, Head of Research & Innovation Outsourcing Management.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>The key accountability of this role is to drive the end-to-end outsourcing process and vendor oversight for assigned service area, in close collaboration with RIOM team and cross-functional stakeholder groups by:</p> <ul> <li>Independently lead the end-to-end contracting & outsourcing process for clinical lab and data services (e.g., RFI/RFP, contract negotiation and execution, etc.). </li><li>Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., R&D, Legal, Procurement) to drive sustainable vendor relationships, optimize performance and resolve issues. </li><li>Evaluate and mitigate risks in vendor agreements while ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards (GLP, GCP, etc). </li><li>Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across contract management and vendor governance. </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MS) preferred. </li><li>8+ years in clinical lab services outsourcing within pharma, biotech or CROs </li><li>Proven ability to manage complex vendor contracts including MSAs, work orders, and terminations, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and budget constraints. </li><li>Experience in vendor management and oversight, including performance evaluations and issue resolution. </li><li>Strong understanding of drug development and regulatory environments for lab services. </li><li>Demonstrated success in project and stakeholder management in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. </li><li>Excellent communication and negotiation skills </li></ul> <p>Skills and Personal Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Leadership skills with the ability to build strong network, communicate cross-functionally, interact with senior management and influence without authority. </li><li>Strategic thinker and active listener with strong attention to detail. </li><li>Collaborative partner and clear communicator. </li><li>Comfortable stepping into a dynamic role and delivering immediate value. </li><li>Self-starter who thrives in temporary, high-impact assignments. </li></ul> <p>About You</p> <ul> <li> <p>You are genuinely passionate about our purpose</p> </li><li> <p>You bring precision and excellence to all that you do</p> </li><li> <p>You believe in our rooted-in-science approach to problem-solving</p> </li><li> <p>You are a generous collaborator who can work in teams with a broad spectrum of backgrounds</p> </li><li> <p>You take pride in enabling the best work of others on the team</p> </li><li> <p>You can grapple with the unknown and be innovative</p> </li><li> <p>You have experience working in a fast-growing, dynamic company (or a strong desire to)</p> </li><li> <p>You work hard and are not afraid to have a little fun while you do so!</p> </li></ul> <p>Locations</p> <p>Genmab maximizes the efficiency of an agile working environment, when possible, for the betterment of employee work-life balance.
