<p>The Arkansas Division of Elementary and Secondary Education - Office of Special Education is accepting applications for Regional Speech-Language Pathology Support Specialists to support special education services across Arkansas. These positions play a vital role in providing consultation, technical assistance, and leadership to schools and districts, ensuring alignment with IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) and Arkansas regulations. The Speech-Language Pathology Support Specialists will work to close achievement gaps for students with disabilities, particularly those with significant or complex needs. Ideal candidates will have experience working with low-incidence populations, such as students with multiple disabilities, autism, and significant cognitive disabilities. Candidates will also have experience in augmentative/alternative communication and pediatric feeding disorders. Position: Multiple Regional Speech-Language Pathology Support Specialist positions available; One (1) position with knowledge and experience in the early childhood setting Location: Regionally-based Travel: Moderate regional travel required; limited state-wide travel required Travel Expenses: Reimbursed within specified guidelines Posting Deadline: Open until all positions filled Key Responsibilities: ? Provide technical assistance and consultation to schools, districts, and Education Service Cooperatives. ? Ensure compliance with IDEA and Arkansas special education regulations.</p> <p>? Develop and lead professional learning opportunities to enhance educational outcomes for students with disabilities. ? Collaborate with Special Education and Related Service Regional Specialists and other technical assistance providers to coordinate services and build capacity across the state. ? Stay current on research and effective practices in speech-language pathology. ? Address needs identified in CIRCUIT by providing technical assistance, consultation, and coaching following IDEA, AR Regulations, DESE-OSE initiatives and utilizing evidence-based and High Leverage Practices. ? Maintain documentation for supporting needs in CIRCUIT and other consulting tasks. ? Collaborate with DESE-OSE and Arkansas Collaborative Consultants as directed by DESE-OSE. ? Project manage capacity building activities in priority areas. ? Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: ? Master's degree in speech-language pathology plus 5 years of experience working in the education setting. ? 3+ years of supervisory or coaching experience. ? Strong organizational, analytical, and presentation skills. ? Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. ? Proficiency in technology and computer skills. ? Knowledge of IDEA and Arkansas Special Education and Related Services regulations. ? Ability to work independently and maintain focus on the state's vision and mission. ? Experience in developing and delivering professional learning opportunities. Additional Requirements: ? Valid Arkansas driver's license. ? Valid license from the Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, Arkansas Board ? Current certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Compensation and Benefits: ? Anticipated Starting Salary: $64,000 ? Contract Length: 200 days (July 1 to June 30; prorated per start date) ? Benefits: Health insurance, paid sick leave, AR Teacher Retirement System.
