<p>Our Custom Automation division at Bastian Solutions is looking to grow and add a welder to our outstanding manufacturing team in Greenfield, Indiana. We are looking for that welder that wants to grow/expand and learn the material handling industry while working with some talented coworkers! We design, build and manufacture automation equipment that is used in companies around the world. Come grow with us!!!</p> <p>A Welder will be responsible for producing weldments for Material Handling Equipment projects. The main emphasis for this position is welding/fitting, light to moderate fabrication along with general repair and maintenance of Bastian Solutions equipment. A Welder will be responsible for maintaining tolerances and dimensions specified by individual prints.</p> <p>Job Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Rely on training protocols and previous professional skill to create a solution for project needs </li><li>Maintain a healthy professional partnership with employees; positive, team-focused individual </li><li>General knowledge of fabrication equipment including horizontal saws, lathes, mills, & drill presses </li><li>Onsite weld test given prior to employment to establish skill set </li><li>Build high quality welded parts from blueprints provided by our Engineering group </li><li>Maintain provided tolerances for project specifications </li><li>Ability to produce parts from sheet metal, plate, bar stock, and aluminum to create required parts </li><li>Keep workspace in a neat and organized order </li><li>Experienced in MIG welding practices; TIG is occasionally used on a based on customer demand </li><li>Follow safety protocols per JSA (Job Safety Analysis) </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills & Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of HS Diploma or GED equivalent </li><li>Previous experience as a welder in a manufacturing environment </li><li>Proficient with MIG welding; TIG welding is a plus </li><li>Experience with complex/custom welding projects are highly preferred </li></ul> <p>About Bastian Solutions:</p> <p>Bastian Solutions, a Toyota Advanced Logistics company, is an independent material handling and robotics system integrator providing automated solutions for distribution, manufacturing, and order fulfillment centers around the world.
