Scope of responsibility includes expert practitioner, educator/teacher, care management, consultant, nurse researcher, and nurse leader.</p> <p>Accountabilities</p> <ul> <li>Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for individual patients. Incorporates evidence-based research into </li></ul> <p>clinical practice. 28%</p> <ul> <li>Initiates and documents appropriate interventions; evaluates and records patient/family response within practice </li></ul> <p>protocol; prescribes drug therapies per protocol/physician consultation. 20%</p> <ul> <li>Assists physicians and performs procedures as needed; conducts patient assessments and provides physician with </li></ul> <p>information prior to seeing the patient. 15%</p> <ul> <li>Assesses patient/family needs and provides education. 15% </li><li>Promotes wellness and recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs. 5% </li><li>Promotes/provides staff education. 3% </li><li>May supervise the activities of clinical nursing and support staff and mentor new Advanced Practitioners. 4% </li><li>Knowledgeable of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements. 4% </li><li>Completes patient charge tickets. 2% </li><li>Provides case management for oncology clients and their families. 2% </li><li>Serves as a resource person for the nursing staff by providing information being studied in clinical trials. 2% </li></ul> <p>Supervisory/Management Responsibilities</p> <p>This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.</p> <p>Minimum Education</p> <p>Master's Degree- Nursing; Nurse Practitioner Degree Emphasis or Program Certificate equivalent</p> <p>Minimum Experience</p> <p>1 year- Nursing experience</p> <p>Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses</p> <p>NURSE PRACTITIONER - NLNP</p> <p>Specific Acceptable Credentials (if applicable)</p> <p>South Carolina Official Recognition Nurse Practitioner</p> <p>Prescriptive Authority South Carolina Nursing License</p> <p>South Carolina Controlled Substance license; Federal DEA license</p> <p>Other Required Experience</p> <p>Oncology nursing experience - Preferred</p> <p>Experience and knowledge in the management of the physiologic and psychological effects of cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment - Preferred</p> <p>Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse - Preferred</p> <p>Work Shift</p> <p>Day (United States of America)</p> <p>Location</p> <p>Cancer Centers - Faris Road</p> <p>Facility</p> <p>2197 Cancer Institute-Faris</p> <p>Department</p> <p>21971000 Cancer Institute-Faris-Practice Operations</p> <p>Share your talent with us!
