Engaged Learners. Empowered Citizens.</p> <p>EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION: Bachelors' Degree or higher; Indiana Teacher Certification, must hold or be working towards an Indiana Administrative and Supervision License.</p> <p>SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:</p> <ul> <li>Build positive, trusting relationships with students, staff, and parents by projecting genuine care and concern. </li><li>Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills. </li><li>Demonstrate initiative and effective leadership to address complex problems/issues, and collaboratively work with others to develop and implement problem solving strategies </li><li>Reflect on and learn from personal experiences and feedback of others to grow personally and professionally. </li><li>Manage time effectively yet be willing to work beyond regular work hours to complete assigned duties. </li></ul> <p>EXPERIENCE: A minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience; Experience in a leadership role preferred.</p> <p>OTHER:</p> <ul> <li>Be an example of exemplary adult behavior for students. </li><li>Be a model of regular attendance and on-time arrival. </li><li>Model integrity, ethical conduct, professionalism, and respect towards all school stakeholders. </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Administer student discipline system and attendance procedures in a fair and equitable manner. Teach the values of accountability, respect, and engagement to promote a positive school culture and climate and help students reach desired behavior outcomes. </li><li>Collaborate with school personnel, students' families, and community resources to promote students' academic success as well as their physical, social, and mental health. Identify student needs and proactively develop interventions to support students. </li><li>Assist in the planning and implementation of the school's emergency preparedness plan. This includes, but is not limited to, the following: revise school emergency plans; organize and document school-wide emergency drills; attend building and district safety meetings; train staff on school safety policies and procedures; develop building supervisory schedules. </li><li>Oversee After-School Detentions and Saturday School. </li><li>Administer the Random Drug Testing Program in accordance with district policies and procedures. </li><li>Assist with the implementation of building and district programs and initiatives (e.g. freshman orientation, AIM Mentors, PBIS, MTSS, etc.) </li><li>Assist in the interviewing, selecting, orienting, and training of new certified and support staff personnel. </li><li>Supervise and evaluate support staff. </li><li>Supervise students during non-instructional times such as before/after school, during passing periods and during lunches. </li><li>Attend and supervise after-school, evening, and weekend school-sponsored events as assigned. </li><li>Perform other duties and assume responsibilities as assigned by the Principal and/or Assistant Principals </li></ul> <p>SALARY BENEFITS: Salary range $53,250-$97,000</p> <p>Teacher Contract with $5,408 Stipend</p> <p>OTHER: Teacher Schedule (185-Days ) + 10 Additional Days</p> <p>Additional $5,000 Stipend Each Year</p> <p>Round 1 interviews to begin the week of 4/14/25 with possible pre-screening interviews prior to that.</p> <p>Avon Community School Corporation does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, genetic information, or veteran status in admission to its programs, services, or activities, in access to them, in treatment of individuals, or in any aspect of their operations.
