The Board seeks an effective administrator in both financial and administrative leadership to fill its Treasurer vacancy effective 8/1/2025. The Treasurer is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the District, the accuracy and timeliness of all state and federal reporting, the development of the annual district operating budget, and the Five-Year Forecast. Expected start date: 8/1/2025 or sooner as determined by the Board.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>A valid Ohio School Treasurer License or evidence that one is obtainable </li><li>Successful experience as a School Treasurer is desirable and preferred, but not required </li><li>Understanding of Ohio School Law, Ohio school finance, and state software programs </li><li>Ability to present financial data in simple, understandable terms and to use technology to ensure timely reporting </li><li>Proficient computer skills and knowledge of applications necessary to access timely and relevant information and be able to disseminate same </li><li>Displays expertise with annual audit processes that results in a responsible, accountable, and credible reporting </li><li>Takes responsibility for adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and deadlines </li><li>Shows knowledge about the collective bargaining process </li><li>Addresses public records requests in a timely manner </li><li>Displays personal integrity, loyalty, leadership, good communication skills and the ability to work well with staff, the Superintendent, and the Board of Education </li><li>Additional qualifications which the Board may specify </li></ul> <p>Materials Required with Application:</p> <ul> <li>A cover letter emphasizing qualifications and reasons for interest </li><li>A current resume </li><li>A copy of valid Ohio Treasurer's Certificate/License </li><li>MBA and/or CPA preferred </li><li>List of current references, one of which is a recent employer </li></ul> <p>All application materials must be submitted electronically through the ESC of Eastern Ohio's Frontline application system.</p> <p>Equal Employment Opportunity Statement</p> <p>The Springfield Local School District Board does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, disability, or genetic information in employment or the provision of services.</p> <p>Note: Applicants should not make personal contact with board of education members.
