<p>As an Ophthalmic Scribe you will work alongside physician dictating into the patient's chart and assist physician with minor in-office procedures.</p> <p>Schedule:</p> <p>Mon-Wed-Thurs-Fri 8:00-5:00</p> <p>Tuesday 8-8 rotating</p> <p>Must be willing to travel to other NEOES locations as needed</p> <p>What you will be working on</p> <ul> <li>Bring patients to and from exam rooms </li><li>Perform detailed documentation of patient work ups and OD/MD comments in patient's electronic medical record </li><li>Complete patient encounter form based on determined diagnosis </li><li>Apply drops to anesthetize, dilate, or medicate eyes </li><li>Provide chair-side physician assistance and administer treatment as allowed and ordered by the physician </li><li>Review care instructions with patients </li><li>Complete a detailed patient history including past medical history, family medical history and chief complaint </li><li>Check patient's visual acuity which includes far acuity, near acuity, peripheral vision, depth perception, and color perception </li><li>Examine eyes for abnormalities </li><li>Perform other tests and measurements including A-scans, B-scans, fundus photography, corneal topography, HRTII and pachymetry </li><li>Measures intraocular pressure of eyes (glaucoma test) </li><li>Read patient's eyeglass prescription with automated lensometry </li><li>Prep exam rooms for treatment </li><li>Maintain patient confidentiality following HIPAA regulations </li><li>Demonstrate basic knowledge of eye anatomy, disease, symptoms & ocular medications </li><li>Stay current with the latest technologies and medications and be able to answer general patient questions </li></ul> <p>What you will receive</p> <ul> <li>Competitive wages </li><li>Robust benefit package including medical, dental, life and disability (short- and long-term) insurance </li><li>Generous paid time off (PTO) program </li><li>Seven (7) company paid holidays </li><li>401(k) retirement plan with company match </li><li>Uniform reimbursement </li><li>An organization focused on People, Passion, Purpose and Progress </li><li>Inspirational culture </li></ul> <p>What you know</p> <p>Required</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED equivalent </li><li>Valid driver's license and ability to drive a motor vehicle </li><li>Efficient computer skills and ability to type 40+ words per minute </li></ul> <p>Desired</p> <ul> <li>Experience working as a Medical Scribe </li><li>Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience </li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology </li><li>Proficient in all Scribe I duties; as well as OT-1 duties; has more than 1 year of experience </li><li>Typical has 1-3 years of experience </li></ul>
