As a Surgical Services Support Technician, you will help create a safe and sterile environment for various operations and other procedures. You will be exposed to the latest technologies, offering a unique opportunity to gain invaluable medical knowledge through hands-on experience and explore the numerous opportunities found at Cleveland Clinic.</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00AM - 3:30PM, with no call, weekend or holiday requirements.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li>Safely transport patients to designated areas per nursing requests. </li><li>Assist nursing caregivers during surgical cases as requested. </li><li>Maintain and control support services equipment and supplies. </li><li>Maintain the OR in an aesthetically safe and sanitary condition. </li><li>Enter job tasks into electronic computer software systems. </li><li>Assist in prepping and shaving patients for surgery. </li><li>Coordinate and maintain uniform room activities, such as locker assignments and scrubs. </li><li>Properly handle and dispose of hazardous waste. </li><li>Comply with special cleaning requests for radioactive waste and infection control surgical cases. </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED </li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) within new hire period </li><li>One year of customer service experience </li></ul> <p>Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
