<p>Duties</p> <p>Schlarman Academy is searching for a suitable candidate to fill the role of full-time Elementary Music Teacher (Grades K-6) for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year and beyond. An ideal candidate will have good parental communication skills, be highly organized, knowledgeable in Music education, have a bachelor's degree, and IL teacher certification. Retired teachers may also apply.</p> <ul> <li>The teacher will contribute to the community of faith of the school and provide faith leadership to students. </li><li>The teacher plans for effective classroom instruction based on students' needs. </li><li>The teacher effectively implements teaching plans and conducts classes in a manner which promotes student learning. </li><li>The teacher maintains student discipline so that learning goals can be accomplished, organizes classroom routines and schedules, and keeps adequate records. </li><li>The teacher supervises students for extracurricular activities and moderates student activities assigned by the principal. </li><li>The teacher interacts with students/parents in a positive manner. </li><li>The teacher evaluates students according to school policies using standardized tests, teacher made tests, and special assignments or projects. </li><li>The teacher prepares grades and meets with parents as necessary to report students' progress. </li><li>The teacher meets professional requirements and attempts professional growth.
