USAJOBS Help Center - Unique Hiring Paths is also helpful information.</p> <p>Help</p> <p>Duties</p> <p>This position duties include:</p> <ul> <li>Instructs patrons on rules and procedures for safe swimming. </li><li>Continuously observes swimming area to ensure safety of patrons. </li><li>Enforces pool rules with customers. </li><li>Ensure that the swimming area is open to patrons at the scheduled times and that authorized persons only are admitted to the area. </li><li>Rescues swimmers in trouble, promptly administers first aid, CPR, and calls for medical assistance when and if needed. </li><li>Warns swimmers of unsafe environmental or health conditions, inclement weather conditions, and closes pool until safe conditions prevail. </li><li>May operate water pumps and control chemical additives to ensure pool water meets specified standards. </li><li>Ensures entire facility is inspected for safety and necessary repairs are reported and completed. </li><li>May preform other related or incidental duties as assigned for the daily operation of the swimming area to include: restocking restrooms, cleaning of bath houses, wading pools, main pools, pool decks, sunbathing areas, performs opening and closing procedures, handles cash, makes deposits, etc. </li><li>Some physical exertion is required while performing a swimming rescue.
