In this role, you will focus on maximizing their treatment outcomes and assisting them in relearning necessary skills to lead independent, productive and satisfying lives.</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works weekend days from 8:00AM - 5:30PM.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Evaluate and treat patients with physical, emotional, cognitive and/or psychosocial deficits that impact their abilities to successfully perform independent living skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Assess patient's ability to safely and effectively perform independent living skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Design the appropriate plan of care, including type and frequency of treatment, and implement the treatment plan using appropriate modalities.</p> </li><li> <p>Document subjective and objective findings of patient progress.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor and modify the plan of care and seek consultation as necessary.</p> </li><li> <p>Educate the patient, families and caregivers about patient deficits.</p> </li><li> <p>Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee the care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians according to established licensing laws, state regulations and OT practice standards.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's Degree</p> </li><li> <p>Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association</p> </li><li> <p>Current Ohio licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)</p> </li><li> <p>Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in a clinical area. </li></ul> <p>Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
