<p>Our large manufacturing client located in Lafeyette, Indiana is looking for a CNC Programmer, to add to their team.</p> <p>JOB DESCRIPTION</p> <ul> <li>Create new CNC programs, or modify/update existing CNC programs as required for manufacturing </li><li>Provide programming support during part prove-outs. Update program as needed </li><li>Create new or update existing manufacturing process documentation of programmed parts </li><li>Assist with program issues or updates needed on a promptly manner to ensure manufacturing of parts to specification </li><li>Provide programming shop support </li><li>Participate of engineering team meetings, and collaborate as needed </li><li>Provide status updates and documentation as needed </li><li>Work with cross-functional teams, manufacturing engineers, quality engineers & operations leaders on assigned projects or activities </li></ul> <p>REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or similar field is preferred, but not required </li><li>At least two years of experience as a CNC programmer is required </li><li>Strong knowledge of machining processes such as turning, milling, drilling and tapping is required </li><li>Must be able to read/write programs in G code </li><li>Experience programming in CAM software (i.e. NX, Creo/Pro-E, EdgeCam, etc.) is desired, but not required </li><li>Experience with 3D modeling in CAD software (i.e. NX, Creo/Pro-E, Solidworks, etc.) is desired, but not required </li><li>Understanding of fixture design is desired </li><li>Experience selecting cutting tools is desired </li><li>Must have good blueprint reading skills and experience with GD&T </li><li>Must enjoy working in a team environment </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills are required </li><li>Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and general computer software </li></ul> <p>Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.</p> <p>This employer is not currently hiring foreign national applicants that require or will require sponsorship tied to a specific employer.</p>
