The following duties and responsibilities are to be performed accurately, efficiently, within company safety standards, within specified time frames and as needed.</p> <ul> <li>Confer with the Manager and/or supervisor and reviews daily production to determine quantity and quality of parts run. </li><li>Assist in planning work area assignments taking into account individual skills and abilities. </li><li>Ensure that proper procedures are used in the delivery of material to the machine and the staging of materials for the machine operators. </li><li>Answer questions from workers pertaining to proper procedures, equipment operation and quality standards. </li><li>Monitor and expedite flow of material through the work cells and communicates to the Supervisor recurring problems with material availability, staffing concerns, and other related issues which affect productivity. </li><li>Under general direction, notify Supervisor and maintenance workers of test equipment malfunctions. Operate or tend equipment as needed to substitute for absent workers. </li><li>Maintain production records using written records, computers, bar code scanning equipment or other technologies. </li><li>Train workers in equipment operation, process procedures and quality standards. </li><li>Perform inventory transactions via computer systems and/or manually as needed to accurately track material movement and consumption. </li><li>Within authority investigate and correct inventory inaccuracies. </li><li>Move material within and between work areas using appropriate tools. </li><li>Deliver work assignments on a daily basis </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Related to only production and only under the general direction of the Production Team Leader/Area Supervisor. Does not have supervisory responsibility or authority in the areas of personnel actions.</p> <p>COMPETENCIES:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to perform job-related tasks/duties, according to job standards. </li><li>Ability to operate all necessary equipment and/or machinery to perform job-related task(s). </li><li>Ability to properly setup all necessary equipment and/or machinery to </li></ul> <p>perform job-related task(s).</p> <ul> <li>Ability to understand safety guidelines that relate to job responsibilities. </li><li>Ability to correctly interpret operational method sheet. </li><li>Ability to perform quality inspections/Total Quality Check. </li><li>Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of material flow tools. </li><li>Ability to understand visual standards and nonconforming material system. </li><li>Ability to properly use material handling equipment. </li><li>Ability to perform job tasks within required timeframe. </li><li>Ability to properly identify WPO areas that relate to job responsibilities. </li><li>Ability to perform job tasks according to Allegion quality </li></ul> <p>system/ISO 9001 standards.</p> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>Physical:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequent, and/or 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. </li><li>Ability to occasionally lift up to 40lbs, frequently lifting up to 30 lbs. </li><li>Ability sit and/or stand for a minimum of 8 hours. </li><li>Ability to bend, twist, kneel, stoop, or crouch. </li><li>Ability to reach above shoulder height. </li><li>Ability to use close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjust focus. </li><li>Ability to perform repetitive work. </li><li>Ability to handle, or feel, touch, finger parts. </li><li>Ability to speak and hear oral direction. </li></ul> <p>Mechanical:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to use mechanical or powered lift. </li><li>Ability to use two hand palm buttons. </li><li>Ability to use pneumatic tools. </li><li>Ability to setup assembly dies. </li><li>Ability to use testing equipment. </li></ul> <p>Environmental:</p> <ul> <li>Exposure to various chemicals including greases, oils, adhesives, solder and welding fume, in safe exposure amounts, and approved for use in our facility by EH&S. </li><li>Exposure to moderate noise levels with intermittent loud noises. </li><li>Exposure to sharp objects and parts. </li><li>Exposure to moving mechanical parts, protected by approved guarding and controls. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Below are the minimum requirements for this position.</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED required. </li><li>3 months manufacturing experience required. </li><li>Six months assembly experience preferred. </li></ul> <p>Allegion is a diverse and inclusive environment.
