The PREP program is a highly structured high school program designed to meet the individual needs of a variety of learners. Academics, which are based on the state curriculum standards, are infused with functional life skills to support the growth of students and also meet individual goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will have experience and be well versed in a MD class; implementing Assessment of Functional Living Skills (AFLS), identifying and designing individualized programs, familiarity with data collection and data collection platforms, and be skilled in strategic instruction. Candidates must possess behavior management training and skills, exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, and demonstrate independent initiative with his/her professional growth.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>New Jersey Teacher of Students with Disabilities or Teacher of the Handicapped Certification </li><li>Experience implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies in educational settings, preferred </li><li>Must be experienced in the instruction of students with autism, other cognitive disabilities, and/or students with multipe disabilities </li><li>Demonstrates ability to conduct assessments using the AFLS </li><li>Demonstrates skill in data collection </li><li>Demonstrates ability to design individualized programs </li><li>Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills </li><li>Self-motivated in his/her pursuit of professional growth </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions: 10-month position, tenure track, full-time with benefits.
