<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Part time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Day Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>St. Mary Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for a per diem Radiation Therapist to join our team!</p> <p>Schedule: Pool, day shift, 8 hour shifts</p> <p>Provide radiation therapy services by applying ionizing radiation to adult and geriatric patients according to approved prescriptions.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Apply ionizing radiation to patients according to physician prescription, noting any changes to prescription during course of Rx.</p> </li><li> <p>Review and maintain daily treatment records for accuracy and completeness.</p> </li><li> <p>Assesses patient condition from medical documentation and observe patients for unusual reaction resulting from treatment.</p> </li><li> <p>Explain treatment procedures to patients in a sensitive manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in simulation and mold room procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Solve problems that arise with routine set-ups.</p> </li><li> <p>Schedule patient appointments.</p> </li><li> <p>Understand dosimetry procedures and perform basic treatment time calculations.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in radiation oncology quality assessment and improvement activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare room and equipment for patients according to prescriptions regarding immobilization devices and treatment parameters.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor equipment for established parameter tolerances.</p> </li><li> <p>Assess complexity of procedures for billing purposes.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain and summarize patient monthly statistics.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other related duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Position Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>ARRT Registered, RRT & Technical School/1 Year College</p> </li><li> <p>Preferred: Bachelor's Degree & 2-4 years experience</p> </li></ul> <p>What We Offer:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Competitive Salary</p> </li><li> <p>Retirement Savings Program</p> </li><li> <p>Free Parking</p> </li><li> <p>And more!</p> </li></ul> <p>Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion</p> <p>Trinity Health is one of the largest not-for-profit, Catholic healthcare systems in the nation.
