All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to any protected characteristics.</p> <p>What you will be doing</p> <p>With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:</p> <ul> <li>Develop safety-critical gas turbine engine control software to DO-178C compliance objectives </li><li>Software architecting support to enable software-to-software integration a testing, to include product line methodologies </li><li>Develop and modify processes and methods to enable the team to achieve compliance objectives and optimal development pace </li><li>Setting up and modifying continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI/CD) frameworks, to enable software development to be easily worked by the development team </li><li>Liaison with certification airworthiness authorities to explain approaches, demonstrate compliance to objectives, and close out audit findings </li></ul> <p>Who we're looking for:</p> <p>At Rolls-Royce we put safety first, do the right thing, keep it simple and make a difference. They are the fundamental qualities that we seek for all roles.</p> <p>Basic Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree Engineering with 2+ years of experience in software engineering or computer engineering (development or testing) </li><li>Master's degree in Engineering with experience in software engineering, OR </li><li>PhD in Engineering </li><li>In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen </li><li>Must have experience in embedded safety critical software engineering and Control systems experience </li><li>Needs to be familiar with Model-based software design using Simulink </li></ul> <p>Preferred Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience in embedded safety critical software engineering </li><li>Experience with Python, C, C++, and/or Groovy </li><li>Experience in defining, assessing and modifying software architectures </li><li>Experience with software life cycle (Requirements, Design, Verification and Release) </li><li>Experience with integration (software/hardware and software/software) and component level testing </li><li>Familiar with verification and testing frameworks, such as Jenkins </li><li>Experience in the design and development of DO-178C compliant embedded software solutions </li><li>Experience with control of gas turbine engines </li></ul> <p>What we offer</p> <p>We offer excellent development opportunities, a competitive salary, and exceptional benefits.
