<p>Kforce has a client in Reading, PA that is seeking a Staff Auditor. The Staff Auditor plays a key role in supporting internal audit efforts, ensuring operational efficiency and strong internal controls. This position offers hands-on experience with audits, data analysis, and process improvement projects. The role involves contributing to various audit engagements, special reviews, and investigations while developing technical, analytical, and communication skills in a collaborative environment.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assist in conducting audits in accordance with GAAP and established auditing standards </li><li>Map business processes, analyze data sets, and provide insightful conclusions </li><li>Utilize tools such as IDEA, AS400 Query, MS Access, Savvion, QlikView, and others for audit support </li><li>Communicate findings and insights effectively across teams and departments </li><li>Support process improvement initiatives related to internal controls and audit practices </li><li>Contribute to the preparation of audit reports and documentation of findings </li><li>Participate in project setup, engagement documentation, and audit status updates </li><li>Take part in special assignments and projects as needed* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required) </li><li>Preferred candidates are pursuing or hold certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE, or an MBA </li><li>2-3 years of experience for Staff level or 3+ years of experience for Senior level in auditing or a related business area </li><li>Solid understanding of accounting principles and audit methodologies </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) </li><li>Familiarity with audit software and query tools is a plus </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Ability to work both independently and as part of a team </li><li>Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks </li><li>Willingness to travel overnight as needed </li><li>Reliable attendance and ability to work the assigned schedule are essential </li><li>Must be able to meet pre-employment requirements, including background checks and drug screening </li></ul>
