Diversity and inclusion are a key part of our strategy for long-term success.</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>Responsible for daily tasks in greenhouse to ensure that all aspects of greenhouse operations to support corn trait introgression projects.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Flexible work schedule </li><li>Perform daily greenhouse cleaning and organizing to maintain plant integrity </li><li>Utilize safe work ethic and techniques following protocols </li><li>Perform greenhouse activities including planting, watering, leaf sampling, pollinating, harvesting, and shelling. </li><li>Maintaining a sterile environment while performing embryo rescue activities </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED equivalent </li><li>Knowledge or interest in greenhouse </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent organization skills and ability to oversee multiple projects concurrently to meet deadlines and facility objectives. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn multiple computer software programs for data collection and data retrieval. </li><li>Excellent attention to detail. </li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills. </li><li>Previous experience with plant tissue culture preferred, but not required </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Flexible work hours include weekends </li><li>Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. </li></ul>
