<p>Position Title: Agriculture Science Teacher and FFA Advisor</p> <p>Grade Level: 9-12</p> <p>Teaching Certificate Required: Agriculture Science License</p> <p>Previous Experience Required: None</p> <p>General Description of Position Duties: LHS offers a comprehensive Agriculture program with a wide variety of course offerings, so a candidate with curriculum flexibility is preferred. This position will also have additional responsibilities related to FFA and SAE. LHS has three high school agriculture teachers and one middle school agriculture teacher. Lebanon is home to a competitive and state ranked FFA program, so knowledge and experience in FFA competitive events and functions is preferred.</p> <p>Special Skills, Training or Aptitudes Required or Desired: The applicant should have the desire, passion, and work ethic to be a part of a team. The candidate should also have the ability to work with high school students, parents, and community members. Preferred experience with instructing in a 21st century environment through the integration of instructional technology (SMART Technologies), a classroom learning platform (Canvas), and students with a 1:1 take home device (iPad) is desired.</p> <p>Physical and Mental Efforts:</p> <ul> <li>This position requires a high level of physical and mental endurance </li><li>Sitting in an office/classroom environment, performing tasks on a computer or other technical devices. </li><li>Frequent standing, particularly for sustained periods of time </li><li>Frequent walking, moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one part of the building to another. </li><li>Constantly talking, expressing, or exchanging ideas to colleagues and/or students accurately, loudly, or quickly </li><li>Ability to hear and listen to detailed information through oral communication. </li><li>Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
