<p>Quality Supervisor/ Certified Welding Inspector</p> <p>Job description V&S Schuler Engineering Inc. supplies products and services to electrical utilities, rural electrical cooperatives, contractors, and manufacturing industries. We are fabricators of structural and tubular steel. We are currently searching for an outstanding individual for our Quality Supervisor / CWI position at our Canton, OH location. Description: Quality Supervisor will interpret shop drawings to perform dimensional inspections of fabricated structural steel. as well as visual welding inspections and continued implementation of the welding program. Applicant must be able to read shop drawings.</p> <p>Duties:</p> <p>Oversee Quality Inspectors Read fabrication drawings, details, and section views. Utilize a tape measure, square, bevel square, weld gauge, or proper tools on fabricated materials per the blueprints and specifications. Neatly and accurately complete all required paperwork. Compile and submit completed inspection reports in a timely manner. Communicate verbally, and in writing, with other crew employees, supervisors, and client personnel.</p> <p>Qualifications and Requirements:</p> <p>Previous experience in a steel fabrication environment required (Fab Shop, Job Shop, Plate Work, Miscellaneous, etc). Knowledge of AWS D1.1 code and AISC Standards. Previous industry related inspection experience preferred. SCWI, CWI or CAWI certification Preferred. Ability to bend, crawl, push, pull, stretch, sit, walk, and stand for extended periods of time. Ability to effectively multitask.
