<p>PERFORMANCE</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Help students develop and observe proper rules </li></ul> <p>and procedures</p> <ul> <li>Monitor and maintain behavior and reinforce acceptable </li></ul> <p>behavior, promote wholesome intra-school and</p> <p>community - school relations</p> <ul> <li>When needed, organize students into orderly groups to assist </li></ul> <p>them in their assigned areas</p> <ul> <li>Inform the teacher or Principal of any serious infraction of </li></ul> <p>disciplinary rules by students</p> <ul> <li>Assist with setting up and using instructional equipment </li></ul> <p>such as computers, audiovisual equipment, and related</p> <p>technology</p> <ul> <li>Maintain the confidentiality of student/staff information and </li></ul> <p>records, and student behavior</p> <ul> <li>Monitor activities in the hall, lavatory, recess, lunch, </li></ul> <p>playground, classroom, or wherever assigned including,</p> <p>but not limited to, emergency drills and assemblies</p> <ul> <li>Assist with other duties such as planning activities, </li></ul> <p>preparing instructional materials and classroom records</p> <p>and assisting with the organization of various activities</p> <p>from beginning to end</p> <ul> <li>Implement and execute provisions of State Statutes, </li></ul> <p>Board Policies and Administrative rules and regulations</p> <ul> <li>Deal with occasional exposure to blood and bodily fluids, </li></ul> <p>and students with various illnesses</p> <ul> <li>Interact with a diverse student population </li><li>Handle interactions among unruly children </li><li>Comply with all Plain Local Board of Education policies </li></ul> <p>and procedures</p> <ul> <li>Perform other duties as directed </li></ul>
