<p>SUMMARY:</p> <p>The Paint Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing paint processes and systems to ensure high-quality finishes, durability, and efficiency in production. This role requires a strong understanding of coating technologies, materials science, and manufacturing processes, with a focus on delivering innovative and cost-effective solutions.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement paint and coating processes for various surfaces and materials. </li><li>Conduct testing and analysis to ensure paint quality, adhesion, and performance meet industry standards. </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to integrate paint systems into production. </li><li>Optimize paint application techniques, equipment, and materials to improve efficiency and reduce waste. </li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to paint application, curing, or finish defects. </li><li>Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and advancements in paint technology. </li><li>Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards related to paint and chemical use. </li><li>Prepare technical documentation, reports, and specifications for painting processes and projects. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. </li><li>5 years of experience in paint engineering, coating technologies, or a similar role. </li><li>Strong knowledge of paint formulations, application methods (e.g., spray, dip, electrostatic), and curing processes. </li><li>Proficiency with testing equipment and tools (e.g., spectrophotometers, thickness gauges). </li><li>Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and process optimization. </li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. </li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team. </li><li>Knowledge of environmental regulations (e.g., VOC emissions, wastewater) is a plus. </li><li>12 Expected Behaviors of Actively Engaged Person - 100% Responsible, Trustworthy, Team Player, Clear Communicator, Empathy, Humility, Emotional Self-Control, Resolves Conflict Directly, Positive Attitude, Respects Others, Problem Solver, and Agile. </li></ul>
