<p>Job Description:</p> <p>The Theatre Program is seeking a videographer responsible for shooting and editing video and multimedia pieces for theatre research, marketing, educational, and archival purposes. The videographer will be responsible for working collaboratively on all aspects of media creation from concept to production, post-production and presentation of final video pieces. Hours will vary from week to week during the semester and will be subject to the needs of the Theatre Program. Videographer may be called upon with limited notice and will be contacted with specific dates and times of events where video footage may need to be captured. Work will include shooting content and interviewing subjects, generating ideas for new projects, and working closely with the Theatre Program faculty/staff.</p> <p>Specific Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Capture visually appealing, well-lit video footage (including events, interviews, b-roll) </li><li>Edit video footage as needed </li><li>Generate video ideas, cultivate sources, conduct interviews, and meet deadlines </li><li>Create visual materials to be used across different media platforms </li><li>Catalogue and maintain organization of videos in approved storage units </li><li>Assist the department in all relevant organizational tasks </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Clean and modern editing skills </li><li>Proficient with most current version of software (Adobe Creative Suite, IMovie, DaVinci Resolve) </li><li>Previous experience with video capture and editing required </li><li>Functional familiarity and experience with modern video cameras and related technologies </li><li>Good communication skills, computer literacy </li><li>Willingness to tackle new projects, take initiative, and work independently within student hiring constraints </li><li>Ability to create interesting and innovative work under tight deadlines </li><li>Flexible schedule, nights and weekends </li><li>Ability to demonstrate cultural understanding and appreciation, professionalism, competence, and collegiality </li><li>Trustworthy and able to handle confidential material with the utmost respect </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>This position is open only to students currently enrolled at MCLA.</p> <p>Review of applications will begin immediately.</p> <p>Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts strongly encourages employees to be up to date with their COVID-19 vaccinations.
