We help our customers move the world.</p> <p>Position Overview:</p> <p>Siemens Mobility is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to add to our Mobility Customer Service team. The right person will be highly organized, have a great attention to detail and excellent communication and follow-up skills. This person will assist the engineering and planning group in logistics-related issues and oversee warehouse activities throughout the project. This position can be based in New Castle DE or San Diego CA.</p> <p>What your day-to-day will look like:</p> <ul> <li>Overall material planning to include managing system stocking levels to ensure required material is on hand when required for an event. </li><li>Assist with material identification/validation for maintenance. </li><li>Manage transportation budget and costs for the project. </li><li>Lead material and logistics working group for all project requirements. </li><li>Operational oversight of material and logistics for assigned project. </li><li>Receive purchase orders for materials that are delivered directly to the depots. </li><li>Request and track Customer-owned Capital Spares. </li><li>Manage inventory cycle count activities of material at all locations. </li><li>Communicate shipment progress/movement and other equipment related matters in a consistent and timely manner. </li><li>Maintain shipping policies and procedures. </li><li>Gather, analyze and summarize data to prepare and develop visual charts, graphs and presentations for monthly reports. </li></ul> <p>To thrive in this role, you have:</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma / GED, </li><li>Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in logistics coordination, </li><li>Excellently demonstrated verbal and written communication skills in English, </li><li>Ability to evaluate data and relevance to current projects, </li><li>Ability to utilize data to make informed decisions, </li><li>Excellent customer service skills, </li><li>The ability to work in a team-oriented environment while maintaining an individual workload, </li><li>The ability to perform job duties with a sense of urgency, </li><li>Required travel: 25%, </li><li>Setting you apart from others would be Associates or Bachelor's degree with management experience. Knowledge and experience with Power BI and Tableau are highly preferred.
