<p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <ul> <li>Observe feeding and folding of material and gluing edges and inform gluer operator of any issues being experienced on the feeding or packing ends. </li><li>Work with the Gluer Operator to monitor the feeding of product into the gluer machinery. </li><li>Coordinate with the Gluer Operator to ensure correct jobs are staged at the front of the machine. </li><li>Demonstrates teamwork and motivation on intensive and easier packing jobs. </li><li>Must match all collating marks that are being packed and pack all cards in the same direction. </li><li>Understands the line stop procedures. </li><li>Ability to show consistent improvement on speed, able to keep up with the line, and shows interest in moving into a Packer Level II position. </li><li>Familiarizes self with the items being packed. </li><li>Organize and sort products according to size, color, or other specifications. </li><li>During 'Setup' Operation: Takes direction from Gluer Operator and Gluer Level II to de-stage last job by returning any unnecessary packing supplies, empty trash, and begin staging the next job by gathering needed packaging supplies. </li><li>During 'Run' Operation: Takes direction from Gluer Operator to check for correct card, count, carton, side, direction and quality. </li><li>Assist with the routine maintenance tasks of cleaning and lubricating the glue machinery with the gluer operator. </li><li>When needed, assist the duties of the packers on the line to ensure they are keeping up and paying close attention to the quality of the products. </li><li>During any "down time" the Gluer I is working with the Gluer Operator, Gluer II and material handler to ensure product is moved and area is staged. </li><li>Observe when the Gluer Operator makes adjustments to the machine components according to requirements such as widths, lengths, and thickness of materials and amounts of glue. </li><li>Understands all folder/gluer line metrics and goals. </li><li>Completes daily end of shift duties as assigned by the Gluer Operator and Gluer II position. </li><li>Ability to transition as an individual packer without relying on a trainer. </li><li>Correctly uses required safety PPE: steel toe shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection. </li><li>Other tasks as assigned. </li></ul>
