<p>Job Title: Assistant Boys Basketball/Spring Sport</p> <p>Department: Athletic/Classroom Teacher</p> <p>Reports To: Building Principal, Athletic Director, Head Coach</p> <p>Teaching Field: Social Studies</p> <p>Length of Contract: 215 days</p> <p>FLSA: Exempt</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>This position includes serving as an Assistant Boys Basketball Coach, with the possibility of leading the Jr. High program, and coaching a spring sport. The coach will focus on player development, program growth, and fostering a competitive and positive team culture.</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Organize, lead/assist in leading practices, game preparation, and team management. </li><li>Assist with management of team logistics, including scheduling, and equipment. </li><li>Promote strength and conditioning programs for both sports. </li><li>Encourage multi-sport participation and collaborate with other coaches. </li><li>Assist in spring sport responsibilities </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in education or related field (preferred). </li><li>Valid Arkansas teaching license. </li><li>High school or collegiate coaching experience (preferred). </li><li>Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. </li><li>Commitment to strength and conditioning as a key component of player development. </li><li>Ability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends. </li></ul>
