Maintains a high degree of knowledge of appropriate laws and regulations for Payments issuing products. Reviews marketing materials, strategic business line changes, vendor assessments, etc. Is actively involved in the development, implementation, and distribution of regulatory or compliance-based policies and procedures. The position requires the ability to read, analyze and apply Federal regulations and agency guidance to business line products, services and procedures.</p> <p>Additional responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Serve as a valued business partner, trusted advisor and key contact for business line and risk partners to drive desired results. </li><li>Ensures assigned business units operate in compliance with various laws and regulations by providing appropriate guidance and oversight. </li><li>Provides subject matter expertise in guiding day-to-day business operations and assessing level of risk. </li><li>Proactively engage with business line and risk partners to identify, assess, document and mitigate potential risks via comprehensive, actionable and informative assessments including Compliance Approval Tool Reviews (CAT), Business/Product Change Risk Assessments (PRISM) and Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) </li><li>Analyzes new and pending laws and regulations which affect company practices and work with affected areas to ensure appropriate compliance. </li><li>Performs periodic reviews to assess level of regulatory compliance and develop corrective action as needed. </li><li>Performs reviews of business units' marketing materials to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. </li><li>Assist with developing compliance programs and processes that are effective, efficient and sustainable; seek process improvements by re-assessing compliance functions and approaches. </li><li>Maintain awareness of supervisory enforcement actions, legislative updates, new/amended regulatory requirements, industry trend and banking operations. </li><li>Miscellaneous strategic initiative and project management support. </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED</p> <ul> <li>6+ years of applicable experience </li><li>Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED</p> <ul> <li>Advanced knowledge of the business line's operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls. </li><li>Advanced knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact their assigned line(s) of business. Primary laws/regs include: Reg X/RESPA, Reg B/ECOA, Reg E/EFTA, Reg V/FCRA, Reg Z/TILA, Reg DD/TISA, Reg CC, Reg II, SCRA, TCPA, FDPA, Fair & Responsible Banking/UDAAP, State Laws, etc. </li><li>Thorough knowledge of Risk/Compliance competencies. </li><li>Strong leadership and management skills of processes, projects and people. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Strong analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills. </li><li>Proficient computer skills, e.g., Microsoft Office applications. </li></ul> <p>This position offers a hybrid/flexible schedule which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.</p> <p>If there's anything we can do to accommodate a disability during any portion of the application or hiring process, please refer to our disability accommodations for applicants.</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <p>Our approach to benefits and total rewards considers our team members' whole selves and what may be needed to thrive in and outside work. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role.
