We only have a 1st shift. The base hours are 5:30 am to 1:30 pm, Monday to Friday, plus overtime opportunities.</p> <p>Position Summary: Under minimal supervision, you will assemble component parts into a completed product following blueprints, work orders, and other written and/or verbal specifications. You will also position parts of the unit being assembled following specifications while using knowledge gained by your experience.</p> <p>Essential Functions of the Job</p> <ul> <li>Assemble components </li><li>Produce assemblies with zero defects </li><li>Set up assembly job by locating parts and gathering materials by work order </li><li>Align components and assemble together using hand tools or portable power tools </li><li>Drill, tap or ream holes as necessary </li><li>Connect auxiliary pneumatic or hydraulic lines and cut/fit pipe and tubing as necessary </li><li>Remove small quantities of metal using hand tools to clean parts or produce proper fit </li><li>Follow established safety procedures </li><li>Complete assemblies within the allotted time </li><li>Properly document all quality checklists, material lists, and PDI forms </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and, Abilities (KSA's)</p> <ul> <li>Trained in one cell at an average skill level </li><li>Basic knowledge of hand tools </li><li>Above average mechanical aptitude </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Hands-on attitude and ability </li><li>The ability to meet assembly deadlines </li><li>Able to wear personal protective equipment </li><li>Able to work overtime and/or including weekends as production schedules dictate </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED required </li><li>Minimum 1-year mechanical experience required </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions</p> <ul> <li>Perform work in a non-climate-controlled metal manufacturing production environment </li><li>Communicate respectfully with supervisors and fellow employees </li><li>Read and comprehend blueprints and tape measure </li><li>Torque a bolt to 40 ft/lbs </li><li>Able to work with their arms elevated for periods up to 5 minutes at a time </li><li>Requires various visual processing (i.e., near, far, depth, color) </li><li>Must be able to work in an environment with noise at 75-decibels (25-decibel using earplugs) </li><li>Must be able to bend, stoop and crouch or kneel for up to 1 hour or be on their feet for 90% of their shift and walk up to 75% on concrete </li><li>Must be able to climb 13ft by way of 12-inch rung ladders </li><li>Must be able to lift, push and/or pull up to 40lbs and carry that weight 5ft </li></ul> <p>Relocation not available for this position</p> <p>EOE Minorities/Females/Protected Veterans/Disabled | Drug-Free Workplace</p> <p>We are proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity, Affirmative Action employer.
