To accomplish this mission, all instructors will utilize their talents, skills, and</p> <p>abilities in a coordinated and consistent team effort under the guidance and supervision</p> <p>of the Director of Education/ Dean/ Program Chair, or his or her designee.</p> <p>Successful candidates in this role will reside in the Perry/Des Moines, IA area or within</p> <p>a commutable distance. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.</p> <p>What to expect in this role:</p> <ul> <li>Provide an engaging learning environment by hands-on activities and with open and timely communication </li><li>Provide students with appropriate guidance regarding academic excellence </li><li>Partner with advisors and leadership on student concerns, resolution, retention, and outcomes. </li><li>Participate in institutional assessment and curriculum review. </li><li>Remain current with trends, techniques, and technology. </li><li>Maintenance of a professional development plan. </li><li>Additional duties as may be assigned by the School. </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>BSN required; MSN preferred </li><li>Must have two years nursing experience in the field being hired to teach. Currently looking for Med Surg and Peds. </li><li>Active, unencumbered state RN licensure </li><li>Higher education teaching experience is preferred </li></ul> <p>What we're looking for:</p> <ul> <li>Exceptional computer skills. A typical adjunct in the School of Nursing can expect to receive $3300 per full 10-week course.
