<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Estimated Employment Dates:</p> <p>Guaranteed 25 hours per week with additional hours available as needed by department</p> <p>$15 per hour</p> <p>Monday, May 19, 2025 -Tuesday, September 2, 2025</p> <p>May include some nights and weekends</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Work in a dynamic office environment over the summer supporting and facilitating the successful transition of new students to MCLA. The Summer 2025 New Student Onboarding Ambassador will have a unique role working between three offices: Admission, New Student Programs, and Academic Advising & Support to onboard and welcome our new students.</p> <p>General Responsibilities:</p> <p>Assist with day-to-day office projects when necessary, including data entry, mailings, bulletin board postings, filing, answering phones, copying and general staff support.</p> <p>Office coverage and assistance as needed for other office personnel, including front end support.</p> <p>Specific Office Responsibilities:</p> <p>Office of New Student Programs & Family Engagement (65%)</p> <p>Assist with summer new student engagement through connection in the Online Orientation Canvas Course</p> <p>Design/creation of virtual and printed material for new students.</p> <p>Create flyers, posters, printed materials, and other content as needed.</p> <p>Create virtual engagement opportunities over the course of the summer to connect incoming students with each other and the MCLA community.</p> <p>Other duties as assigned</p> <p>Office of Academic Advising & Support (30%)</p> <p>Work with incoming first-year students to support fall course registration by hosting virtual individual meetings with students. Complete post-registration form following each individual meeting.</p> <p>This may include weeknight meetings with new students.</p> <p>Attend registration trainings with Academic Advising & Support staff as well as regular check-ins (meetings and via email).</p> <p>Learn and support the Offices implementation of EAB Navigate, a student success management platform.</p> <p>Create informational videos, guides, websites, mailings, and more to support the implementation of the student application for both new and returning students.</p> <p>Update and enhance MCLA Success Zone materials.</p> <p>Other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Office of Admission (5%)</p> <p>Assist in the execution of Admission Saturday Tours (each Summer 2025 New Student Onboarding Ambassador would cover one Saturday tour per month). Responsible for representing the College in a positive manner as well as conducting campus tours.</p> <p>May be responsible for following up with prospective, accepted, and enrolling students including, but not limited to postcards, phone calls, and emails. Also participate in social media outreach.</p> <p>May need to assist during weekday tours throughout the summer.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>A well-rounded knowledge of the MCLA campus, majors, academic support resources, and extracurricular activities.</p> <p>Strong communication and interpersonal skills.</p> <p>Strong computer and social media skills (Microsoft Office and other layout and design programs).</p> <p>Strong Degree Works and Core Curriculum knowledge.</p> <p>Good organizational skills and positive personality.</p> <p>Ability to work with structure and independently and conduct themselves in a professional manner.</p> <p>Conduct, academic standing, and history will be considered.</p> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Summer Housing is available at a reduced rate for those students who have on-campus jobs.</p> <p>Summer Student Housing Program</p> <p>This position is only open to current MCLA students.</p> <p>Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to provide reasonable accommodations to qualified applicants and employees with disabilities.
