We value the rich diversity that comes from blending local perspective with our global network.</p> <p>As an Analyst on the Shareholder Advisory and Activism Defense Team, you will work in small teams advising public companies on a broad range of topics including shareholder activism and takeover defense, matters regarding public equity markets and understanding investing patterns of institutional investors. You will work closely with sector banking teams in reviewing and evaluating corporate strategy, M&A dynamics and corporate financial policies, all through a shareholder lens.</p> <p>We'll trust you to:</p> <ul> <li>Develop client presentations on shareholder activism defense strategies and tactics </li><li>Support strategic M&A with shareholder analytics and shareholder engagement advice </li><li>Analyze Shareholder, Activism, and Equity Markets databases </li><li>Evaluate trends in equity ownership and shareholder activism </li><li>Participate in internal marketing initiatives and contribute to thought leadership efforts </li><li>Leverage developing AI technology to facilitate analysis </li><li>Take a leadership role in publishing topical memos for internal and external client use </li></ul> <p>You'll need to have:</p> <ul> <li>Current enrollment at a US university with an expected graduation date in Spring 2025 </li><li>Excellent academic credentials; Minimum 3.7 GPA </li><li>Interest in shareholder activism and/ or public equity market ecosystem </li><li>Strong quantitative and analytical skills and proficiency in data management </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills and desire to work across interdisciplinary teams </li><li>Confident and skilled communicator in both written and verbal format </li><li>Demonstrated track record of success in an intellectually demanding, fast paced environment </li><li>Excellent time management skills and ability to work on multiple high priority projects simultaneously </li><li>Highly motivated self-starter with intellectual curiosity and ability to think creatively on bespoke projects </li></ul> <p>What we offer</p> <p>Analysts will participate in an intensive four-week training program concentrating on corporate finance and accounting, taught in New York by outside professors and Lazard bankers.</p> <p>We strive to enhance the total health and well-being of our employees through comprehensive, competitive benefits.
