<p>We are seeking an Educational Specialist who will coordinate and maintain academic support services to assigned students in the Pathways to College Completion program. This person will report to the Program Coordinator/Assistant Director and assist with the overall department, administration, and assessment of the Pathways to College Completion Program.</p> <p>This is a full-time, grant-funded, administrative position.</p> <p>Example of Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Assist college and high school instructors/students in bridge and early pathway projects. </li><li>Assist in the design and implementation of the early pathways project. </li><li>Hire and train peer leaders (including tutors, SI leaders, and peer mentors) and embedded faculty coaches for barrier courses. </li><li>Integrate academic support services into program activities and monitor use of services. </li><li>Oversee the use of adaptive learning systems such as ALEKS and MyMathLab. </li><li>Support faculty in the integration of technology into their instruction. </li><li>Provide academic advisement, success coaching, and registration support to assigned students. </li><li>Serve on the project management team and Advisory Council. </li><li>Participate in project evaluation and institutionalization of activities. </li><li>Recruit students and high school personnel into Pathways to College Completion Program activities. </li><li>Serve on the project management team and the Advisory Council. </li><li>Participate in project evaluation and institutionalization of activities. </li><li>Perform other duties as required. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in Education, Counseling or related field required. </li><li>Minimum of three years of experience in academic support services, with an emphasis on support for at-risk students preferred. </li><li>Requires outstanding interpersonal, team-building and administrative skills. </li><li>Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. </li></ul> <p>The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.</p> <p>Compensation: Salary is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications.
