<p>Regional Transportation Lead</p> <p>Role Summary:</p> <p>The Lead, Regional Transportation is a key member of the Regional Distribution Team operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to drive operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement. This role is responsible for managing transportation partners while overseeing day-to-day transportation activities at the Regional Distribution Center (RDC)-including loading, carrier assignment, scheduling, and ensuring on-time delivery.</p> <p>This role reports to the National Transportation Manager.</p> <p>The individual must exhibit the following core TireHub commitments:</p> <ul> <li>Approachable - If a company could smile, we would. When we commit to?a job, we get the job done - and we do it fast. </li></ul> <p>Role Specifics:</p> <ul> <li>Oversees performance of managed transportation partners to ensure alignment with organizational goals and delivery of best-in-class service to customers. </li><li>Collaborates closely with the RDC team to coach, mentor, and resolve transportation-related challenges that impact inventory flow and operations. </li><li>Ensures all business and customer requirements are met, optimizing equipment use and managing timelines to consistently exceed 90% on-time delivery. </li><li>Conducts regular calls and site visits to TireHub Logistics Centers (TLCs) to stay informed on field-level transportation- issues, especially those related to inbound freight. Leverages all necessary system tools and carrier relationships to monitor market rates and trends, securing optimal transportation value for the organization, and to complete tasks accurately and on time. </li><li>Develops, maintains, and communicates clear and effective standard operating procedures (SOPs) for transportation processes. </li><li>Leads or contributes to transportation-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives as needed. </li><li>Participates and maintains ongoing training requirements through in-person, virtual or computer-based learning modules, as assigned. </li><li>Complies with all TireHub policies and procedures. </li><li>Completes other tasks assigned by their supervisor or another member of leadership. </li></ul> <p>Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>Optimizes Work Processes: Knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement. </li><li>Manages Ambiguity: Operating effectively, even when things are not certain, or the way forward is not clear. </li><li>Drives Results: Consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances. </li><li>Collaborates: Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives </li><li>Optimizes Work Processes: Knows the most effective and efficient processes to get things done. Focuses on continuous improvement ensuring safe work practices are followed. </li><li>Problem solving: Having the ability to identify problems and issues of varying complexities and to find effective solutions with few guidelines. </li><li>Decision making: Drawing correct and realistic conclusions and making timely decisions based on available information. </li><li>Self-Starter: Takes initiative and is self-disciplined in not having direct, in-person supervision is critical. </li></ul> <p>Education/Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance or other related field preferred. </li><li>3-5 years of transportation experience specifically working with managed freight partners. </li><li>Proficient in Transportation Management System (TMS), with a solid understanding of TMS capabilities and functionality. </li><li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks, interpret data, and develop effective data-driven solutions. </li></ul> <p>Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, including active listening, influencing, and the ability to communicate effectively to communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. </li><li>Strong leadership and proven ability to lead, motivate, and support RDC/TLC teams while managing priorities in a time sensitive and demanding environment. </li><li>Exceptional planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adjust to shifting priorities or unexpected challenges. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with business leaders and peers to anticipate issues and deliver innovative operational and customer service solutions. </li><li>Track record of driving process improvement and fostering a culture of operational excellence. </li><li>Actively seeks to expand knowledge and skills, staying current with industry trends and best practices. </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Skilled in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. </li><li>A valid Driver's license with at least 2 years of driving experience required (3 years preferred; Does not include time on learner's permits). </li></ul> <p>Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>This is a fast-paced and dynamic operating </li><li>Most of the time is spent sitting, constantly viewing monitors in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move There may be occasions to move or lift light articles. </li><li>This role is based in our Regional Distribution Center (RDC) and requires regular on-site in-person presence. </li><li>Must be able to travel up to 10%. </li></ul> <p>This position will be located onsite at the Regional Distribution Center located at 80000 Quarry Rd. Alburtis, PA 18011.</p>
