<p>Hiram College invites applications for the position of Graduate Assistant Women's Volleyball. The successful candidate will be actively involved in the recruitment, retention, and day-to-day operations of the Hiram College Women's Volleyball Program. Hiram College is a member of the North Coast Athletic Conference and NCAA Division III.</p> <p>The successful candidate is responsible for assisting in all aspects of a competitive women's collegiate volleyball program to include successfully organizing and implementing a recruiting/retention plan, integrating the program into the campus community, developing a vibrant summer camp program, supervising practice/contests, management of program budget, fundraising to support program and supporting student-athlete success.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assist in directing all aspects of the women's volleyball program including, practice, competition, fundraising. </li><li>Assist in developing and implement an effective recruitment program, in coordination with Hiram College Admission Office, to attract outstanding student-athletes. </li><li>Adhere to all policies, rules and regulations of the Hiram College Athletic Department, the NCAA </li><li>Provide guidance and support to student-athletes towards achieving their greatest potential both academically and athletically. </li><li>Monitor class schedules, grades and student-athlete academic progress. </li><li>Contribute to the fundraising activities for women's volleyball program. </li><li>Assist the head coach in the development and operation of a successful summer camp program. </li><li>Participate in the Annual Day with Hiram Golf Outing. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge and Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>The ability to interact professionally with students, staff, and guests of the college </li><li>Attention to detail and good time management, organizational and prioritization skills </li><li>Knowledge of All NCAA Division III rules. </li><li>Valid Ohio Driver's License </li><li>First Aid, AED & CPR certification required. </li><li>Microsoft Word </li><li>Excel </li><li>Experience with Front Rush </li><li>Proficient with all forms of social media </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Collegiate volleyball recruiting experience preferred. </li><li>Summer Camp/Club experience preferred. </li><li>Collegiate competitive experience preferred. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree and the ability to be accepted into our Graduate Program(s) is required. </li></ul> <p>Qualified candidates are encouraged to send a letter of application, resume and the names, addresses, and telephone numbers of three professional references by email to HR@hiram.edu.
